Excellent organisation and very competent guides. We had a wonderful week in the Camargue.


Christophe is incredibly knowledgeable – he knows so much about ornithology and also about the history of the Camargue. Another highlight, apart from the observations, is opening the picnic box and returning to Envie de Sud in the evening with a delicious dinner. For us vegetarians, this is a special treat. See you soon – we’ll be back. In the Camargue, we’ve found our address!


Thanks to Christophe and Frédéric, we saw an enormous amount during our weeks of touring at the end of April/beginning of May 2022. The long-awaited and twice-postponed trip to Covid was a pleasure. At Ursula’s pension Envie de Sud, we felt at ease from the very first moment. The food is excellent and we particularly liked the waste-free picnic in the stainless steel box. We would be delighted to recommend this address.

His scientific background and passion for ornithology are reflected in his deep knowledge of the region’s birds, flora, fauna, hydrology, geomorphology, history, and traditional land use. He is almost fluent in English and of course with a charming French accent…
