For our in-house guests staying at Envie de Sud and booking our half-board package, we organise private birdwatching and nature excursions throughout the year, accompanied by our professional ornithologists. Tours are available in English or French.

The guiding fee is a fixed daily rate, regardless of whether you are travelling alone, as a couple, or in a group of up to 5–8 participants. Transportation costs and any entrance fees are charged separately by the ornithologist.

Each excursion is fully tailored to your interests, allowing you to create a programme that matches your wishes and the species or habitats you would like to discover.

For French-speaking nature enthusiasts looking for a more budget-friendly option, visiting the Camargue during the annual Festival de la Camargue et du Delta du Rhône, held every year over the Ascension weekend, is an excellent choice. The festival offers an extensive programme of guided walks, excursions and lectures in French.

A stay at Envie de Sud with half-board provides a comfortable and affordable alternative to a fully private guided experience, while allowing you to enjoy one of the region’s most important nature events.

Of course, nature lovers are welcome to enjoy an early breakfast before setting off at dawn, when wildlife is at its most active.
